Artist Statement

FOLLOWING MY DREAM - I purchased my childhood home that l now call my Art Studio. If I’m not creating, I’m collecting or finding ways to creatively use my "collection."  My most recent collages are from my "collection" pages torn from history books to magazines. I have enjoyed the artistic process of bring together images that tell a story.

Artistic Process

It all begins with the hunt, that joyful time of collecting and seeing the possibilities. I see my inspirations from family heirlooms to bargains at estate sales. When creating my garden flowers I search through my garden of supplies. When I have completed my creation it is off to my workshop to be drilled, glued and fastened with hardware that can also be adapted for outdoor use. I have also included two recent collages inspired by my father’s collection of Sawyer Industry calendars.
